Scholarship Description:

The scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial need, subject to applicants demonstrating their intention to play a full part in extracurricular activities and the Students Union.

The scholarship is worth £9,000 per year for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress and scholars may choose to use all or part of the scholarship to cover fees. Any remainder is paid to the scholar as a maintenance award.

Denys Holland Scholarship at University College UK

The Denys Holland Scholarship aims to support undergraduate students from any country, who without the support of the scholarship would be unable to secure the funding required to study at UCL, and whom can demonstrate their intention to make full use of the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union.

The scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial need, subject to applicants demonstrating their intention to play a full part in extracurricular activities of UCL and the Students Union.

The scholarship is worth £9,000 per year for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress and scholars may choose to use all or part of the scholarship to cover fees. Any remainder is paid to the scholar as a maintenance award.

Montana State University merit-based scholarships USA.

The MSU Office of International Programs takes pride in providing merit-based scholarships to eligible international undergraduate applicants who have received full admission to Montana State University. These scholarships are solely determined based on the applicants’ grade point average. The awarded funds can only be applied towards MSU tuition and cannot be granted to students who are admitted conditionally to attend Intensive English classes with INTERLINK International Institute.

Scholarship Benefits:

Awards range from $5,000-$12,000 per year.

The scholarship can be renewed each year as long as the student maintains a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, remains a full-time student, and continues to attend as a non-resident student.

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria:

Upon submission of their application, international students at MSU are automatically evaluated for scholarships based on their grade point average (GPA) from high school or college coursework. Students who receive full admission to MSU and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale are eligible for scholarship consideration.

Chevening Award Scholarships UK

Chevening is the UK Government’s international awards scheme aimed at developing global leaders. Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations, Chevening offers two types of award – Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships – the recipients of which are personally selected by British embassies and high commissions throughout the world.

To be eligible for a Chevening Award you must:

  • Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country
  • Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended
  • Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK.
  • Have at least two years’ work experience (this may be up to five years for fellowship programmes, so please refer to your country page for further details)
  • Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices
  • Meet the Chevening English language requirement

Gates Cambridge Scholarship UK

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship programme was established in October 2000 by a donation of US$210m from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to the University of Cambridge. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge. The selection criteria are:

  • outstanding intellectual ability
  • leadership potential
  • a commitment to improving the lives of others
  • a good fit between the applicant’s qualifications and aspirations and the postgraduate programme at Cambridge for which they are applying
