Economy class air travel

Selected applicants would enjoy free travel from their home countries to the host universities at the beginning of their program and even after the completion of the program. Each scholar will receive US $500 per trip.

Tuition for your graduate program and the cost of basic medical insurance

Throughout the scholarship period while on campus, students would be provided with monthly subsistence expenses to cover all the living expenses, including accommodation, food, medicals and books. Note, however, that the amount of expenses varies depending on the host countries.

Candidate Visa applications would be sorted by the World Bank

Eligibility for World Bank Scholarship for Developing Countries

When submitting the scholarship application, be employed in development-related work in a paid full-time position. The only exception to this criterion is for nationals from developing countries considered fragile and conflict-stricken.

On or before the Scholarship Application Deadline date, be admitted unconditionally (except for funding) for the upcoming academic year to at least one of the JJ/WBGSP preferred university master’s programs located outside the applicant’s country of citizenship and country of residence listed at the time the call for scholarship applications opens. Not be an Executive Director, their alternate, and staff of any appointment of the World Bank Group or a close relative of the aforementioned by blood or adoption with the term “close relative” defined as Mother, father, sister, half-sister, brother, half-brother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew.
